Asus P5W DH Deluxe BIOS update procedure with no floppy disk

Can anyone help?

i am running BIOS 2704 and w2ant to update before I install my E8400 cpu.

Firstly I have no floppy drive on the computer so following the istructions there is no good.

Secondly, the other alternative seems to be to download a download manager program from the Asus website and it has a n EZ Flash utility that I can use in Windows. However, when i try to download it, it says I need a 32 bit OS to open the file???????

Anyone got any help or ideas?

dosn't that board use a flash utility that you can update via usb stick in the bios

I am trying that now but I cant find an EASY way to make ny usb disk bootable

Great news - I left the file on my desktop and the BIOS EZ Update program saw it there so no need to make a bootable disk

had the same problem updating the firmware on my crucial ssd with no floppy this site will help if you every want to make a boot-able flash drive in the future http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm
