Got this mobo off the bay, and have been going through and installing all kinds of bits and bobs and it's now almost there.

I get the following error message on each boot:

Intel CPU uCode loading error

which I looked into and basically means I need to flash the BIOS. Now I don't have or have access to a floppy drive, and I was looking at the idea of using Winflash to flash the BIOS. Unfortunately I've not been able to find a single version that will work, the version 2's of the proggy say that I need a v1, and I can't seem to find a v1 that works.

Have found a few which have then turned out to be called something like atiwinflash and they don't do anything other than use up processing and don't seem to load properly.

Can anyone help, give me some form of suggestions?

Tia

I'm not even going to ask how you found that tool on the site, everything I tried (for the past 2+ hours) has ended in tears.

Didn't know about the Ez flash util either - will try this right away, thank you so much!!

yea asus update utility rocks !
make a back up of your current bios too.
theres also a way you can flash off a memory stick / pen drive thingie too.

yea i was in the same boat, took a good few mins to find that utility for the P5N32 board... does anyone else think ASUS seem to be ignoring the problems with their website?

well i ran the flash with the latest bios version for my mobo and it went through fine, verified ok, only now when it boots it posts, gives me the system info, then gets to the point where it scans the IDE drives and after that I am left with a black screen with the little white cursor flashing.

I did manage to get into the bios once, but it's not letting me back in either.. I do have a usb pen drive, can someone help explain to me what I need to do with it to get it to flash from there/

thanks in advance,

[edit] looks like the only bios version available on the site is the 0709 one i just tried... more help lads, I need it :)

Well I unplugged my PATA devices and it boots back into windows, but still gives the same error message:

Intel CPU uCode loading error..

Anyone got a working mobo with said CPU in it who would be willing to save and send me a copy of their BIOS version?.. worth a shot.
