This motherboard supports the latest Intel Core i7 processors using the LGA1366 socket which has the memory controller integrated to support tri-channel (6 DIMMs) DDR3 memory. Supporting Intel QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) with a system bus up to 6.4GT/s and a max bandwidth of up to 25.6GB/s, the Intel Core i7 processor is one of the most powerful and energy efficient CPUs in the world. SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) is a workstation-level storage solution, which is faster than traditional SATA drives and with server-level data reliability. Backward-compatible with SATA devices, the on-board SAS ports can be both flexible and future proofed.

Imagine overclocking in real-time on a side screen without interrupting ongoing work and games. With the stylish Asus OC Palm, you can easily perform overclocking functions; and monitor system temperatures and fan speeds with ease. It also supports the Yahoo! Ouch - paid nearly double this for my P6TD at launch. It is a great board though - been very reliable and this is certainly going to be worth the pennies now being asked!

Awesome price guys :) Where does this 'slot in' amongst other popular X58s?
I have the p6t deluxe v2, the only difference on the v2 model was the removal of the sas controller, the gigabyte equivalent would likely be the x58 ud5.

It certainly is, the current p6td deluxe, (essentially the same board as the v2) is still over £200.00, the v2 is also reputed to suffer from turbo throttling when overclocked, something that wasnt present on the first revision, though the v2 can be flashed with the v1 bios to counteract this, thankfully though ive never experienced it on my own v2.

They are great boards for sli/crossfire, slot spacing is very good compared to equivalent gigabyte boards, currently running 2 x gtx 275's in sli, xonar dx souncard in the top x4 pcie slot on mine.

Few pics of my sli setup, sorry for the poor quality phone cam pics.

Soundcard is just about visible above the topmost gpu. Gpu's currently idling at 50c and 53c, auto fan speed of 50%, i7 at 4ghz.

Ocuk dont stock the v2 anymore, but the p6td deluxe is virtually identical, i think the only difference is the p6td's power phase regulation and capacitors were changed, tbh i didnt ever see the need to introduce the p6td when the v2 had nothing wrong with it, but asus do have a habit of releasing quite a few models of their boards.

The oc palm edition is basically the p6t deluxe v1 board, the oc palm is a small usb screen that is supplied with it, the deluxe v1 and v2 are almost identical, the only difference being that the v1 had an onboard sas controller, this was removed on the v2 and p6td deluxe boards.

so out of them 3 they would clock the same, not one being better then the other.?
I just had a look at my old box and it is a v2. it died due to my daughter droping a drill bit in there while i had the case on it's side.
my missues was far to busy watching eastenders lol anyways **** happens.

i didn't know there was 3 boards till you said. i ended up ordering the rampage 3 the other day. just come yesterday. but i just orderd this one on here as my old v2 done a great job.

so the rp3 is going back under the 7day contract. it's still in it's box.
nice board, but i just play games. and from the both boards, i can't really see much gain in the real work, gaming wise that is :D

So i'll save some pennies :D

Cheers.

Yep, im sure all 3 would clock the same, 4ghz here on the v2 with relative ease, as have many owners of the v1 and p6td, this oc palm editon is a steal at the price.
