I'm pretty sure my motherboard is dead as its got to a point where it turns on but wont boot up, it just says no signal. I noticed what looks like track marks on the back and wondered if anyone could confirm?
This isn't my main PC, but it was my first half decent one that has been going since 2009, so I'm very fond of it. Thanks in advance for any input.

I don't think the pictures are showing up, not sure why...

Could always be a GPU fault also but you would need to test with another card as I'm not sure those old CPUs had onboard graphics.

try a card thats a bit older too as the new ones that carry the uefi bios wont work with older boards, something like a gtx 750/1050 should work

At least from the pictures, that just looks like excess flux or manufacturing residue on the back, see similar on the back of a lot of boards if you shine a light on them. It's going across a lot of tracks as well, if it was a scratch and was deep enough to cause issues, you'd see copper shining through.

Thanks for the replies. I put everything back together and then moved the GPU to the bottom slot, and it worked! Really grateful as my son has been using it so its good its back in action. Thanks again.
