Hi
I bought an Asus P6X58D-E m/b last month and Im just in the stage of finish making it when I get paid tomorrow for the last parts (PSU, HDD, ODD, GFX).
I've also bought OCZ3G1600LV6GK (3x 6GB DDR3 1600Mhz) RAM.
I've read the motherboard manual and it said "Due to Intel spec definition, X.M.P. DIMMs and DDR3-1600 are supported for one DIMM per channel only."
I also refered to the QVL list in the manual before I bought the RAM and M/B to confirm they were compatible (which they say they are).
1. However can someone confirm they will work with the motherboard without any hassle (like changing voltages and over-clocking settings) and running at full speed (1600mhz) after pressing the MemOK! button on the motherboard.
2. Can I buy another of the same set to make it 12GB in the future? Would it work (am confused with what the user manual is trying to say)
(Im not intending to overclock the system I rather it run as native as its built (using speedstep and turbo boost that comes with the CPU (i7 930))
Thanx 4 the help
