Hey, ive just ordered a coolermaster cm690 advanced II and an Noctua NH-D14.

It hasnt arrived yet, but i plan to overclock to 4ghz with this equipment, but what i want to know is if there are any pre determind overclocking settings for this motherboard, as i cant seem to find any.

Also i would like advice on the ram side of things will they overclock with the cpu?

(specs in sig)

(woops put p7p55d - le instead of p7p55 le)

First thing i would do is to get rid of that crappy Atrix psu and buy a decent one. Why people try and save money on a psu, the single most important component in a pc, is beyond me. You will be lucky if that thing is capable of delivering half it's stated power.

I got the a similar M/B and ASUS offer some interesting preset overclocking settings all can be tweeked more too to push it a wee bit more.
check it here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18217982

I got it to 3.617Ghz could not get any more out of it, most likly due to my PSU....
PSU is key id say whack a top end one in... 800Watt Plus and a TruePower or somthing like that

p.s check the back on the manual of the M/B theres tips and a good guide to the OC stuff in the ASUS BIOS

can anyone offer me any help please

I gave you a solid piece of advice. If that psu fails/blows then not only will you have to buy a decent one to replace it (something you should have done in the first place instead of skimping) but you will most likley have to buy some replacement components as well. Cheap psu's very often kill pc's when they fail.
