ASUS P8 Z77 PREMUIM and ddr3 query

Hi all,

Will the below memory work ok with my motherboard
it says 4 x DIMM max 32GB DDR3 2800OC,2600OC and 2400OC etc

Corsair Memory Dominator Platinum 8GB DDR3 2666 MHz Dual Channel Desktop

Yes 2666mhz is a divider on all the Ivy Bridge CPU's so it should be fine. i dont have that board so cant try it but all my Z77 Asus boards offer that divider.

Please be aware not all CPU IMC will not make this frequency though.

if you OC'ing then 2x8gb would be better as there is less drew on the ram memory controller.

Yeah two sticks are better than four in this instance. Although ideal would be 2 x 4gb if I am honest.

Hi 8Pack

DDR3 being returned motherboard not liking it with bsod constantly I'm going back to ddr3 that I had before

Error on mobo saying memory not installed when it is, supposedly a common error with z77 and some memory
