Asus P8P67 Deluxe Sata 2 ports just died on me...

Just installed drivers, rebooted, No HDD's. The thing is I have 5 internal HDD's and 1 HDDVD/Bluray drive. So that's why I brought this MB.

My friend gave me his Asrock Fatal1y Performace Rev B. MB.
Only 1 PCIE and only 6 Sata ASUS had 8

I decided to try and overclock this Puppy to 4.6ghz. (2500k).
To my VERY BIG surprise it WORKED!! Then 4.8ghz worked again!!

The Asus would not go over 4.4ghz

So my Q is has any one with the Asus gone over 4.4ghz
PS. I used AI Suite and the OC in the bios of the Asrock...

So your question is about overclocking and not the dead SATA 2 ports?

If so you should have the thread title changed and moved to Overclocking & Cooling.

I can't comment on the HDDs, but I have a P8P67 Pro that's OCd to at least 4.7 on my 2500k.
