ASUS P8P67 LE or GA -z68a-d3-b3

Hello everyone,

Yeah well , it appears that when you think you got a good deal, something always comes back to sting you.

I have a 2500k and a asus p8p67 LE on the way.

I wanted to overclock the sandy bridge, nothing crazy, between 4 and 4.5ghz and i would be happy.

The problem is i have just been reading that the P8p67 LE does NOT allow you to manually set the Vcore. You have the option of offset +/-.

People have ben saying that the auto vcore puts the voltage up 1.35+ which i have been reading is pretty high and could kill the cpu.

Im not a genius when it comes to overclocking, in fact im noobish at best.

I was hoping someone with knowledge of the board and processor and its overclocking capabilities could get in touch. To let me know of a safe level to overclock, i know it can differ from chip to chip, but if i should not even bother with this board, then it would be nice to know, rather than try and screw the chip up!!!

Gigabyte GA-z68a-d3-b3 - Is this board better than the P8p67 Le for overclocking????

Peace
