Afternoon all,

I bought a P8P67 Pro for a server build I was doing. Ive wired it all up and all I got was the PSU fan twitch.

Ive remove all accessories and PCI cards from it and it still does it. I removed the CPU power plug and it came to life (It didnt post due to no CPU power). I tried it in 4 pin and 8 pin configurations.

The PSu is a Corsair HX850 which came out of my Sandbridge gaming rig and worked fine.

Tonight ill be pulling the motherboard out and bread boarding it so I can check for a short.

Anyone else got any other ideas what is up?

Matt

tried clearing the cmos, leave motherboard battery out for 30 minutes?

try with just one ram stick installed in second ram slot from cpu socket, would be good if you had a spare psu to test with, even if your old one worked fine on the old mb

I reset the CMOS and that didnt help. Ill remove the ram tonight and see if that helps.

Sadly all my other PSU's are way under powered for this but ill see if it even posts with one.
