Hi all hope your all well ..

Ok down to the dirt :( .

Got this board along with i5 2500k .
All installed just fine and worked right away apart from bios not letting me use mouse but thats another story ..

I never knew this board was x8 x4 PCIe in CF mode the info is miss leading ,I think what i done wrong was read info on the pro not the stand one ,

But now i have run into a wall .

i have crossfire setup x2 HD5870 when i set in bios PCIeX16_2 slot at x4 on black Pci-e my sound card stops working which is Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium ,but if i go back to bios and turn off the PCIeX16_2 slot at x4 on black Pci-e the sound card then works again .. the sound card works on PCIe 2.0 x1_1 slot ,

So what i have here is i ever can have x2 HD5870 cards working and no sound card or one HD5870 and sound , Nice one asus and i all ways use them i think this is the last asus mobo ill be buying .

Help me please any one got any idea :(

Thanks ..

It does state this on the Asus website.

*1: The PCIEX16_2 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_1 slot, PCIEX1_2 slot and USB3_34 connector. The PCIEX16_2 runs at x1 mode by default for system resource optimization.

You can't really blame Asus for your poor choice.

Point taken ..Its not asus i picked wrong board but its still getting RMA back to where i got it from no matter what .It dont work with my setup so its no good to me ..

And under Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) law i have the right to do so ..

Plus who would think in this day and age that you can buy newer mobo that is not as good as one that i just sold which was Asus P5Q pro turbo ,which was 2 years old and could work at X8X8 and was far less in price I think around £90 pound from overclockers .

The P8P67 is over priced for what its offering ,
