Hi all, a few days ago i bought the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-121-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517 kit , my concern is that my previous 8GB kit was a true 1600mhz 1.5v kit , i have read that sandybridge based platforms state only that 1.5v memory kits are supported, yet my new kit is 1.65v for 1600mhz. Im a little consused to say the least.

My specs are :-

Asus P8Z68-V Board

2500k @ 4.6ghz

Asso i have a HUGE heatsink that stops me from using memory with high heat sinks.

Many thanks
Ed

This ram should be fine at 1.50v, Overclockers have stated 1.50 - 1.65v, I think youl will find no problems at the former setting. Many people use HyperX ram at 1.5v without any problems at 1600mhz

1.65v may cause damage to the cpu, have a read here...

***Overclocking Guidelines***

Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher than 1.60v could limit lifespan of the CPU
