Asus P8Z68 V Pro Gen 3 CPU Air Cooler - Ram clearance

I have installed 4 sticks of Ram and my Gelid Tranquillo will no longer fit as a result, keen to keep my 32GB of Ram (CMX16GX3M2A1600C11) 4x8gb sticks. I have a midi tower case so height isn't an issue, just ram clearance.

Running a OC [email protected] (delid) which the tranquillo did no sweat, so looking for a very quiet air cooler that fits the bill.

Installed a H100i RGB Pro XT and it is too noisy and didn't keep temps down, so would prefer to go back to air cooling.

Any help appreciated

A Noctua NH-D15S should work.

But it is at the top end of air coolers pricing. Do you have a budget you’re working to?

Thanks I just ordered one from Amazon, for £60 stellar reviews so hope it lives upto them.

Works like a charm, can't believe how quiet it is. Is it worth mounting a fan on the back as well, does it make much of a difference?

Maybe a 2 to 3° degree drop in temps with an extra fan , not really worth it.
