Asus P8Z77-V LX problem. I can't disable the Intel gfx?

Hi guys

I have a weird one. I have the above mobo with a GTX560 gfx card.
I removed the card briefly last week while trying to track down the source of a noisy fan.

Since doing this, despite having the GTX560ti plugged back in, the onboard Intel 4000 graphics is constantly present. It's not actually enabled in the UEFI setup, but yet it loads anyway and steals 256meg of RAM along the way.

How the heck do I turn it back off. It's driving me mad!!

Have you ever installed the intel graphics drivers ? If yes uninstall them

Nope. It picks it up as a standard vga adapter, but windows update prompts me to install the Intel 4000 drivers

Try a clearCMOS?

Maybe something weird is happening in the BIOS and its just not do as it should in disabling the IGP.

Install latest BIOS from here: http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LX/#download

After you have done that then clear the CMOS and re-disable to iGPU from within the BIOS.

Thanks for the advice both.

I've got the latest BIOS on there. So I'll try what you both suggest and do a clear CMOS tonight. I'll report back later
