Asus P8Z77-V Pro primary display issue (no signal)

I'm having an issue where the bios setting for primary display keeps reverting from PCIE to Auto, and when it does I get no monitor signal as it tries to use my iGPU which is disabled. I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it because it's getting extremely annoying.

Tried peg if you have the option? And using latest BIOS

I'm sorry I don't know what "peg" is? And yeah, I have the latest bios.

Peg is same as pcie,I have that option on my board,maybe reflashing the same BIOS would help,I've known them to stick sometimes in applying settings

OK. I just re-flashed the latest bios, so we'll see. This issue doesn't happen all the time so I won't know if it's fixed until it works properly for awhile.

Also, I manually selected DVI on my monitor, and now every time the PC boots DVI pops up on the screen whereas before it didn't, could this have been the problem?

could be idk,normally it only resets the bios if theres an issue or an oc setting not right ect
