OK looking at the Asus pb278q input lag im a little confused on tft central it says: 16.6ms input lag average with maximum 17ms.

It says "Note that this is the overall display lag, and so accounts for the signal processing time + an element of the pixel response time. "

So for some reason they seem to use the words input lag and overall display lag as interchangeable words. I thought they were 2 different things??

However another reviewer Anandtech says:

16.7 ms of input lag with 11.5 ms measured response time , goes on to say the overall delay of 28.2 ms .

Just confused as to which terms are correct.

It is rather confusing alright. All I will say is I owned one and it was fantastic for gaming, no lag at all - that I could notice anyway.

I'm not sure if this is what you're wanting to know but if it handles FPS games it will do anything.

No dead or stuck pixels and the backlight bleed was mighty impressive, in that, it was probably the least I've ever seen from a monitor that size.

It was an excellent monitor by all accounts.

PB278Q owner here - and my main PC use is for gaming. No problems whatsoever experienced. Great monitor, I was blown away by the 1440p resolution and I think that would have more of an impact on your gaming experience than reduced input lag unless you consider yourself a pro-FPS player or something.
