Is this monitor good or is there better at this price point I like asus as a brand I currently have a asus 1080p 120hz monitor but was looking on upgrading to this monitor I have a hd7950 3gb at the moment would I get fairly decent results or would I also need to upgrade the card to play bf4 I understand I probably won't be able to max it out at those resolutions but obviously I would want it to look good :)

Thank you both viewsonic one looks good also and the sammy is a good deal but the glossy screen may be a problem i know the viewsonic is partially glossy as well

The Asus uses PWM to adjust the backlight which causes high frequency flicker. The Viewsonic and Samsung are two of the few monitors which don't. Something to consider if this is something you are sensitive too.

Yes i heard that thank you i heard the viewsonic has less input lag as well so i may lean towards that one ;)

The Viewsonic has marginally better input lag but claims a slower G2G response time. Both monitors actually use the same Samsung LTM270DL02 panel and so in reality there is likely to be little difference in the performance (they are have very similar overdrive settings for example).

The only real differences are the housing and calibration. Tom's Hardware has an interesting "vs" comparison of the two, if you haven't already seen it. If the Samsung wasn't on offer I would have gone for the Viewsonic.
