Asus PCE-AC88 issue plz help

Hi

So ive just upgraded to a Wireless Adaptor card Asus AC88 from a Asus AC68

The AC68 works perfect and been using it for 2 years

Every time I install the Asus AC88 it does not work, like it installs but there is no pregramme to run neither is there a EXE file

I have literally re-installed windows 10 64 bit and it STILL has not fixed it.

Its fully detected in device manager too.

The PCIE slot im using is fine as im used the existing wifi adaptor on the same motherboard slot.

But I cannot figure out why on earth the driver for the AC88 is not working, I switched back to the AC68 and mt wifi works fine

There is nothing online to suggest any issues, everyhting else on my PC is fine apart from this new WIFI card.

Can some one suggest any ideas or let me know what to do?

What sort of program are you expecting to see?

If the drivers are installed can't you manage the adapter using the built in Windows tools?

you cant run the asus wifi adapter with window tools, only asus's own software, for some reason whilst installing the drivers only half of the programme gets installed, which is also minus the exe to start the programme.....

Downloaded the latest software from their website?

Removed the software from the old adapter just in case it's interfering?

Are you 100% sure you need Asus management software installed? Even if the AC68 did that doesn't necessarily mean that the same applies to the AC88. Reviews of the AC88 show it managed using standard Windows tools.

oh i see, i have not returned it yet so i can re-install it but this time install no asus software right?

just use the windows wifi settings?
