Hi all,

I recently purchased one of these from overclockers. The first one that arrived had a backlight fault and was returned, but I've been sent a second which the backlight works perfectly.

I have a different issue however. Very occasionally perhaps once every hour or two hours, an artifact will appear on screen for one or two frames. It might be a block of multi-coloured pixels or a line of grey dots. I do not have time to get a screen shot and it is difficult to predict when it may occur.

Does anyone know what this might be?

I also have a similarly specced ACER XB280HK (TN instead of IPS) which does not have this problem on the same hardware.

I had some red artifacts on my monitor recently, thought the GPU was giving up, turns out it was the DVI cable i was using. Swapped it out and all was fine :)

So i'd say definitely give another cable a try.

Thanks chaps. I have used a different displayport cable and it is still doing it occasionally, even when just on desktop.

It's a rectangular shape that appears for probably 1 frame and then disappears, or a few dots in a line. Does anyone else have this screen that could say whether they are getting it too?
