Mid 2017 it says there. Thats fine for me and i'll likely wait for the new Asus refresh 3440x1440 144hz version.
If i decide to upgrade anyway. Lets face it 100hz vs 120/144hz isn't a huge deal.
Hopefully as well as the increase to 144hz LG also resolve some of the issues with their current panels so that getting a decent screen is less of a lottery than right now.
They already have with their new more curved panels like the one found in the LG UC88 - this screen will be the same.

Received today all be it a little late. Overall a fantastic monitor and the 21:9 is lovely to say the least. To be honest the 100fps is not too noticeable over the 144hz. Some games like the witcher 3 are very nice! with the 21:9 ratio.
There is a small what seems like dust or smudge behind the screen unfortunately, its only tiny and about 4x4 pixels (have to manually find it on white screen) so not bothering me at the minute luckily. All be it a £1000 monitor, i'm undecided to return because of this or not.
I'm going to see how I get on with it over the next few days although loving it at the minute. Going back to my ROG swift the 144hz is slightly noticeable (ish) but it feels small and cramped and like a piece of the screen is missing lol.
There is a 37.5" 3840x1600 (2:4:1 aspect ratio) panel (LM375UW1) that has been talked about which sounds great, but it seems to be targeted more for professional use than gaming from what I heard.
How you now feel about 16:9 exactly echoes my experience, and it's amazing how it takes no time at all in front of 21:9 for that to happen. Several friends of mine have said the same and now hate me for making their monitors feel so cramped haha!
As for the smudge that is unfortunate. Definitely grounds for RMA though, and you may want to keep in mind that it will probably devalue the monitor as and when you come to sell it.
