Asus Prime B-660-PLUS VS MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4

Hello everyone,

I'm considering two motherboards for my next rig:

- Asus Prime B-660-PLUS
- MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4

I'm going to couple them with an i-7 13700k and 64GB DDR4-3200 along with a fairly standard M2 SSD and GPU (likely 6950XT).

Which motherboard should I get? The price difference between the motherboards is about 30€, nothing radical.

ASUS hardware is trash.

MSI I have had good experience with.

Tomahawk. Why 64gb and ddr4 if going new?

Don't think the Prime even has flashback, so it might not work with your CPU without buying another. Tomahawk is a much higher spec board. You can't overclock a K CPU without either though, for the record (apart from power).

Because it's cheaper than 64GB of decent DDR5 and pretty much the same performance.
