Hello,

Can anyone confirm if the B650 Plus and the 7800x3D will be compatible together without issue? I heard about the VRM's getting hot on these cheaper B650's but is it enough of an issue to be problematic?

Thanks

It was one of the worst boards in HUB's thermal tests, but it should be fine just for gaming. If you're running long run multithreaded stuff I'd get a better board.

Thanks for the reply, the system will be used just for gaming so hopefully no issues

The 7800X3D is incredibly power efficient. It'll basically run on any potato VRM, which are especially prevalent in the asus budget boards.
I wouldn't be too worried about running it on your board.
The potato VRM problem only rears it's ugly head when you run the Ryzen 9s (12/16 cores) at full pelt, which I don't think you will be, will you?
