It was one of the worst boards in HUB's thermal tests, but it should be fine just for gaming. If you're running long run multithreaded stuff I'd get a better board.
The 7800X3D is incredibly power efficient. It'll basically run on any potato VRM, which are especially prevalent in the asus budget boards.
I wouldn't be too worried about running it on your board.
The potato VRM problem only rears it's ugly head when you run the Ryzen 9s (12/16 cores) at full pelt, which I don't think you will be, will you?
