Hello,

I recently upgraded my machine to a Ryzen 7700x processor, 32gb of Corsair CMK32GX5M2D6000Z36 memory and the ASUS PRIME X670-P.

The motherboard has the latest available BIOS installed.

On a fresh installation of Windows 10, I am unable to get the Ethernet working. I've tried with the official drivers from the mobo website, as well as those available from RealTek.

In Windows 11, I can get the Ethernet port working, however I am now experiencing frequent crashes in most of my games, which come randomly.

I've checked the sup[port pages of the motherboard and unfortunately I do not see my MEMORY listed.

Do you think this could be the cause of my issues? Is there anything I can do, apart from replace the RAM to make compatibility more robust? A change of setting?

Kind regards

It's possible that the issue you're experiencing with your Ethernet port and game crashes could be related to compatibility issues with your RAM. While it's not uncommon for new hardware to have compatibility issues with older operating systems, it's worth noting that you don't see your memory listed on the support pages for your motherboard.

Set the RAM to Stock and test to see if the crashes still happen.

The crashes are exactly to desktop. It's like the game just disappears.

I've just downloaded and ran the latest memtest, which when both ram were in slows a2 and b2 displayed a fail.

Currently testing just 1 stick at a time. 1 has passed so far just waiting on the 2nd.

Does sound like a faulty stick of memory . I have virtually exact same system running at 6000 c36 and its fine so far touch wood.

That can be a lot of things, not just hardware issues, e.g. sometimes it is the game itself (i.e. buggy), or an incompatibility (e.g. with the OS, drivers).

That said, 1 error is too many in memtest.
