A friend wanted to build his own pc do after helping him pick parts hd attempted to build it.

Anyway come today and he's a bit upset as everytime it boots it says mb temperature error press F1, you then have to go into bios and discard changes and exit, as saving changes just reboots and same error appears.

Am stuck at moment, what could be issue, as all temps once booted look fine.

I have updated to latest Bios and reset CMOS (was going to try CMOS reset and remove battery overnight as a last resort).

If you have any other pointers it would be appreciated.

Had battery out over night, reset cmos and still the same error, all i can see in the bios is the T_sensor is showing +128 and red, CPU is sat around 28-30 and nothing else seems amiss, have disabled the halt on all errors and it goes straight to windows but still does one beep followed by four short beeps.

Anyone anymore ideas to try?

I've had bro-in-law look at it as well and it's looking like a dodgy sensor on the motherboard, so will get the guy who bought it to raise an RMA and take it from there.

Hopefully replacement will be fine.
