Hey i bought the Asus Prime Z790-p motherboard with the intel i9 14900k Does it need a bios update as i am getting the flashing power light issue and no output. if this is the case do i need a socket 1700 processor or can it be flashed with out the 12th or 13th gen?

Thanks
Dave

nevermind answered my own question but thanks to anyone that read this.

Yes the 14th gen 14900k works out the box with the Asus Prime Z790-p motherboard - not sure what i did but built it out the case and it was fine, maybe a loose cable.

I'd recommend making sure the stock BIOS has the microcode fixes/updates for your CPU anyway :)

The flashing power light is a new function on recent Asus motherboards. Its like a boot diagnostic LED. I believe its called Q-LED Core its in replacement of a speaker or code readout. here it shows you what it means.
