That my chassis fan isn't spinning...

When I'm watching the thing spin right now. It's workin' fine, but ASUS Probe is telling me different.

Shouldn't be worried should I? I mean, as long as it's spinning then everything should be OK, right?

>_<

Nothing to worry about at all, its probably spinning too slow for the RPM to register.

I have the fan setting on high, to test what you just said. It's quite load now because it's spinning really fast.

Oh, and when I first built this computer it was saying the fan was spinning. It only started telling me otherwise about a month ago.

yeah. or if your concerned about it, borrow one. if it shows the rpm with it then that means theres nothing wrong with your board. just a dogdy fan

i personally wouldnt worry about a chassis fan at all, even if it wouldnt spin theres still the psu fan pushing out air ;)
Also, some fans dont have working rpm sensors or the rpm cable might be damaged, nothing to worry about if the fan is spinning...

I have 2 identical 120mm chassis fans plugged into the P5B and Probe detects one but not the other. BIOS detects them both though so I assume it may be a software problem. Don't worry about it.

Strangely, when I updated the software to version 1.02.01, it detected both but after a restart it broke again and has remained like that.

It's pretty much the same here. It was fine, telling me it was spinning and such. Then I formatted, reinstalled Probe and suddenly told me it wasn't.

Bit dodgy eh?

Anyway, thanks for the replies everybody.
