Hi all,
I have an Asus Rampage Formula IV motherboard in my PC. When I turn on the PC the debug LEDs do not show anything- they remain off.
Other tiny LEDs on the motherboard light up but not the aforementioned ones. The PC doesn't boot even (no BIOS, no Windows).
I reset the BIOS- no luck.
I switched to the second BIOS- no luck.
I flashed the BIOS with the latest BIOS from ASUS's web- site- no luck.
I already bought a new motherboard, transferred all the rest of the components onto it and the new computer is running perfectly fine.
I am still trying to resurrect the old motherboard though.
MY QUESTION IS- if there are absolutely no components installed on the motherboard should I be getting ANY code from the debug LEDs?
Or do I have to install at least the CPU (or even RAM) to get some digits there...
Thanks.
