I know some of you have been waiting on an Asus alternative to the UD5 Gigabyte bundle and here it is, offering a great cooler with Akasa's amazing Apache fan (excuse the colour scheme as the performance easily makes up for it) this bundle is feature packed and ideal for those looking for the ultimate in performance. :)

Oh my God how ridiculously awesome!

Will order 7 of these right away; one for each of my pet dwarves

hoo-ha!

Might be because you want things before we have had time to properly test them. :D

Do you have exactly the same setup?

Ahh good choice, the reasoning behind the Corsair XMS memory and not Dominator/Patriot is due to the feedback we have had on the UD5 bundle, some people have had trouble fitting custom fans and the cooler in certain cases with the taller memory. The Patriot is a bit of an office favourite for the clocking systems.

That combination you have there should be good for 3.60GHz-3.80GHz+ without too much trouble, if you are unsure about how to get going we have an excellent overclocking and cooling section. ;)

Yeah, when I got everything unpacked and started building for a moment or 2 I though I was going to have an issue with the CPU cooler and the RAM slots but it was all good in the end:D

As for overclocking it, yeah, I need to have a good read and start tinkering!

Once my wallet has recovered I'll be going down the water route.

Cheers

That looks a really good deal. My opinion is that if you are going to go with i7 is that you go for the high end hardware otherwise your not using it to it's full potential and getting value for money.

This looks great. And the way i7 should be done :D
