I have my Geforce 285's in slots PCIEX16_1 and PCIEX16_2, could i move the second Geforce 285 from slot PCIEX16_2 to slot PCIEX16_3, to get better airflow, and still have the same GPU Performance.

Does anyone have there Geforce cards this way, as when i order my 2 x Geforce 480, i want good airflow...
I will be also putting the setup in a HAF X when it arrives..

Thanks

i am fairly certain that the bottom slot works at full speed if the middle isnt occupied

i did a build for a customer with this config and it worked just fine - exact same benchmarks with the cards in both positions

In correct matey

Slot 1 & 2 = 16 X SLi

Slot 1 & 3 = 8 X

This needs to be set in the BIOS (I'm on 1802) for SLi to detect properly.

Having said that, the performance difference is unnoticable ;)

So Richie boy - do I get to call u a noob now? :D ;)
