Hey all

As per the sig, I have

1. ASUS RIVE
2. Single 680
3. Essence PCIe soundcard

I was wondering whether anyone ran SLI and a soundcard? I have googled loads of stuff and I think I am going with the following

OPTION 1
SLOT 1 - x16 - 680
SLOT 2 - x8 - 680
PCIe - Soundcard
Problems; the cards are sandwiched together.
Positives; The x1 slot is used effectively. x16 for each card

OPTION 2
SLOT 1 - x16 - 680
SLOT 2 - x1 using x16 slot - soundcard
SLOT 4 - x8 - 680
Problems; I am using a x16 PCIe 3.0 slot for the soundcard. However the second 680 is probably going to run at x8.
Positives; But this leaves space between the 680s.

I don't think there is a config that'll give me x16/x16 and use the PCIe x1 slot

Thoughts welcome

If you have the RIVE use slots 1 and 3 for the GTX 680s and the black slot in the middle for the soundcard.

Heres a pic of mine doing the same with a RevoDrive in the black slot

Doing the above will give x16/x16 on both graphics cards.

Wish I could do this with my 580's but where they are triple slotters and the god damn NZXT Phantom is too small.

I cant fit them in this configuration! :-( Stooopid PSU is in the way.

The only reason I'm yet to give a major f about it is because im yet to come across anything I cannot run at max fps :p
