Asus Realbench 2.0

Quick run at 4.4ghz

I think memory timings play a part in the image editing test most definitely.

I suspect higher uncore/cache would help too. Also as this is very similar to the cpc bench, in wondering if running a few consecutive loops generates higher scores each time. Often ran two runs of cpc and the second always scored higher.

Lol, running p95 with avx instructions pushes this chip to 94c in seconds. Maxed at 74c running this.

Yes I think this test only uses AVX, not AVX2. My temps never went over 62, while prime temps go into the low 80's.

@Andy, I meant that my score seems very low due to running a lot of other stuff at the same time; it would probably improve if I ran the benchie as soon as I start the machine.

Don't ask me why cos I don't know, when I had my 4770 and ran V1 of this I always scored higher when using adaptive/offset voltages.
Also looking at the table on the ROG forum (the link can be found in the help menu of the bench) outright Memory speed rather than timings help with this test.

Stopping the test after the image editing and immediate running again gives a score increase too.

I'd have thought the haswell's would have blitzed this benchmark

Think they probably would if there we'll tunned.
I can pass this test at 4.75ghz but it scored lower than the one above and more volts to stabilise fully was not an option... Yet! Already at 1.56v!! And my intel tuning plan is not yet effective for another 10 days.

Personally I feel that GIMP is holding back the overall score of a CPU. However, the others (apart from OCL which is more graphics based) seem to use a system properly, ending with results very similar to Cinebench. IE - more cores are crucial, as is clock speed.

It's becoming clearer by the week just how capable AMD's FX CPUs are when used properly. I just hope that this year sees more games using them properly too :)

Upped uncore/cache to 4200mhz, and ran a couple of loops. Netted a few extra points.

Cpu @4.5ghz, ram @2400mhz, 10-11-11-31, 2T.

Have never tried uncore higher than 4200 yet, currently using 1.25v for it. And tbh ive never dabbled with ram oc'ing a lot either, a little with my previous samsung green kit.

Quick run to see the score on this old X58 system, will do another when my X79 is up and running.

Might do, as ive never clocked ram much before. Is it a case of just slackening the timings and upping dram voltage? Also i take it io and sa etc may need a boost. Currently have theese on auto.

Stick sa and io at 1.2v, change timings to those you posted and set speed then volts to 1.75v, work your volts down if successful.
