Ok so i returned a mobo to asus.Had to send to overclockers
first for them to test.it was a Asus P5E-VM HDMI Motherboard

Now after around 6 weeks i have been offered Asus P5QPL-AM.
Now i know this is a newer mobo but mine new cost close to
£100 and had onboard HDMI whitch is why i got it for a media
pc and i would have to remove a hard drive and fan setup to fit
a gfx in.To be fair the P5E is 2 years old but i have seen them
sold 2nd hand on these forums for £40-£50.

The real question what would you do in my position ?

If it has all the features your old board had, then go for it regardless of price, otherwise demand something with the features you need.

New one has no HDMI the main reason i got it.So guess
your saying demand something with the same features.
Thanks for your input.

Yes, this seems clear to me. Explain that you primarily use the HDMI port and thus another board without a HDMI port is not an alternative.

Ok a quick update.I found out the warranty is with overclockers and 2
months later i am still waiting.Been offered 2 mobo's now from OC
both of which did not have any of the onboard features mine did.no hdmi
or opitcal. On the 4th or march i was told by OC"I will get my manager to process a refund for you".
And i am still waiting sent in a RMA Complaint sunday evening and still no reply
i know its only been 2 working days but after 2 months i would have thought OC to a loyal
customer might of at least contacted me.What options do i have left now is kinda what i am asking ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Very true.Just hard to grab 20mins apart from my dinner at my job. 9-6
every day of the week but sunday hence why i let it drag on so long
but ye guess thats my best option to phone.
