I purchased my second GPU off of a popular auction site last year and the card was brand new, which has now developed a fault but whenever I try to enter the serial number of the card into the RMA section on the ASUS website, it comes up saying that I must contact place of purchase. I have messaged the seller asking if he could set the RMA up on my behalf but if he/she doesn't do this, is there any other way I can get the card RMA'd or am I up a certain creek without a paddle?

Cheers!

Well Asus support in the UK is legendarily... crap it seems. However, I imagine if you keep pushing them you *should* get an RMA off them

Did you buy it less than 180 days ago (1/2 a year)?

31st of October so just by ten days. Can I return it through the auction site seeing as it's been less than 180 days?

Hmm, no. Auction site is generally 30 days, I was thinking PayPal which is 180 days, so you could start a claim on there

That's the problem with buying new off ebay as it can be difficult to get things resolved when they go wrong. Asus RMA is done through the place of purchase for the whole 3 years of the warranty. There is no direct way for us to start a RMA with them.

I got in touch with Asus and explained the situation and they are going to uphold the warranty which is great news. Hopefully they won't take the mick with how long it'll take to get the card sorted...

Good for you, the fact they have agreed to do it is a far cry from what CS they used to offer - i'd have imagined them laughing down the phone to you then hanging up.
