ASUS RMA

Hi all,

Anyone have any experience with ASUS RMA. I have a 2 1/2 (ish) year old Matrix Platinum 7970 and it's developed a vile fan sequel/rattle which happens at pretty much anything below 100% fan speed.

Is it worth sending it off to be fixed, or are they unlikely to do much with a card of this age. It's got about 4 months of warranty remaining, and it's got to be sent back to store first before been sent onto ASUS.

Check that the warranty is still valid, but I would send it away yes!

It's a 3 year warranty card. So should have around 4month remaining.

As whyscotty said, I'm worried about a long drawn out process for the sake of fan noise, as annoying as it is.

Did you register the card when you purchased it?
My mate got refused by Asus for his Mobo cos he had not.

Yes, I registered at purchase. It won't allow me to RMA through ASUS, but I've been ion contact with the store and I have to send it to them, who then determine if it's faulty and then will forward it onto ASUS.
