I have 32 Gb of Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C18 3600MHz Dual Channel fitted to a Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi (AMD . I have x2 of 8Gb RAM of 3200MHz in the other channel. Is this worth doing as the RAM is in different channels? Why is my actual RAM speed only 2400 MHz?

You probably won't use more than 32GB of memory unless you're a content creator or playing heavily modded games, but you should actually have 1x 16GB and 1x 8GB in channel A and 1x 16GB and 1x 8GB in channel B, so that it has the same capacity in each channel and runs in dual channel mode across the whole lot.

You'll probably have to manually choose a suitable speed and DRAM voltage for that combination, I'd start at 2933 @ 1.35v and if it boots and runs okay, then you can try 3000, 3200 and so on.
