Bought the monitor back in Dec 2016. Been using Display Port for gaming PC and HDMI for my laptop while WFH. Today I noticed a purple line in the left pane of screen. Tried changing sources, powering on/off, etc - still there. It's a hardware fault it seems.

I realise it's older, but it cost me £1000 and I don't feel like I should accept this. Spoke to Asus support and they have just replied saying there is nothing they can do.
Wanted to ask advice on here and if others had been caught in a similar situation. Am I just supposed to suck it up and deal with it?
