Just wondered what your thoughts are on the Asus ROG Strix 1000W Gold Aura Edition.
I’ve been waiting for the Seasonic PX-1000/1200, although tempted by the GX then I spotted the aura. I’m guessing it’s the GX rebadged with small upgrades so maybe worth it.
Do you think it’s fine to run it with a 13700k and 4080?

1000 watt ATX 3.0 PSU should be more than enough for that spec, I'd imagine (just based on the ROG Strix previously being based on the GX) that if it is a re-badge it'll be a Vertex.

Thank you, also for the alternatives, I think the main reason for sticking with Seasonic / Asus is the fan, I’ve probably overspent on fans and keeping my PC silent as it is. I know I’ll probably regret going with ASUS due to previous experience with their support.

If you mean when idle, with modern PSUs they usually have a fan stop under a % load, so I'd be more concerned about coil whine, buzzing 'n stuff, personally.

Agreed, part of the reason I stuck with the 4080, I tried a few 4090s but had a lot of coil whine, the setup I have now is near enough silent, I think my biggest issue is getting my head around gold and platinum ratings. When I do replace the current psu I’d be gutted if I started hearing weird noises.
