ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI owners thread***

Anyone with this mobo say how long it takes for the ethernet to connect after a reboot/power on. Mine use to connect as soon as on desktop, now I'm wating a good 30 seconds.

Does it do the same if you manually set an IP? Could be the DHCP provider having an issue.

It's the ee rooter, nothing to do with mobo.
Yes and a test like fixing the IP address to see if you then get network access shows that the DHCP server (the router in most homes) is having an issue, while you are setting it on the computer, it's testing the router than the computer.

Hi, did any of you have dealt with this annoying bios reset problem that the bios resets itself when psu is powered off ? Date, time and saved profiles still stay but all other settings reverts to default even I set everything to default no overclock no change. I already replaced cmos battery, tried sticking the rams to different slots one by one, booted without the gpu, unplugged all fans from the mobo and psu but still no fix. I bought the mobo from another country so I cant rma it or send it to the asus service. I have been using that clear cmos button in the IO shield often maybe that is stuck somehow or malfunctioned but it doesnt look that way when I checked it. I appreciate any help.
Specs: 7800x3d, gigabyte 4080 super gaming oc, 32gb corsair vegeance ram, asus rog 1000w aura,

Nope, not on mine. Have you tried wiping and reinstalling bios in case of corruption. You probably have, but just in case...or reverting bact to an older bios version that didn't have problem (I did have a bios version that didn't agree with my board in the past and led to pc crashing all the time, which went away when changed bios again)

I tried 2 different older bios versions but no this is no fix

Have you tried reseating or replacing the CMOS battery with a new one? Before clear CMOS buttons, removal of that battery was how BIOS were able to be reset. Maybe the current battery is faulty or out of charge. Or could be something relating to the button itself like you said.

The battery it uses is a CR2032.

I have replaced the battery twice and today I accidentally broke the metal part under the battery when I was trying to adjust thinking that it wont make good contact with the battery. I have been using the clear cmos button lately for memory tuning and I think I used it too much so it either got stuck or broken somehow.

Don't think this has been posted, new BIOS out.

I believe it's to do with security and stability so that's why, and yes getting it's more common especially now where security is concerned.

Sometimes going back to older BIOS causes more issues.

Only three, I had like twelve in total, some were security devices, system devices, audio, game controllers to name a few, all done now :) .
Was checking my pc couple of days ago, updated the gpu(7900xtx) to the latest drivers using the auto detect installer which gave an error about the chipset drivers not being installed.

The chipset drivers on the AMD site say 7.11.something while the motherboard site says 7.09.something which do I download? Looking under the devices section in windows 11 some of the AMD devices say 2025 drivers while others say like 2022/2023, if I update the chipset will there be any issues?

I’ve not updated the drivers/bios since 2023 so the current bios I have is 1616, have downloaded the latest but not updated it yet can I just update to that or do I need to go to a certain version first?

I get the chipset drivers direct from AMD website, as to BIOS you can go straight to latest version, just make sure to do it in BIOS via USB stick that has the BIOS file.

Thanks for the reply, tho I went ahead and got the drivers from the asus site and also updated the bios yesterday afternoon. Not updated windows itself in awhile either, reading the horror stories is putting me off updating to the latest.

New BIOS available: [3827][2026/02/13][ComboAM5 PI_Pre1.3.0.0], also a beta [3840][ComboAM5 PI_1.3.0.0a]. I have not tried them, think I will wait for the [3840] release.

Anyone upgraded the WiFi card on their mobo?
Mines been perfectly fine until the other day, then the speeds went all over the place with poor connection and lots of buffering. No issues with any other devices connected.
Rebooted, and even cold started with no improvement.
The windows install is only a few weeks old, so it's not clogged up with anything.
Tried various different drivers, and device removal, install etc.

It just seems to have gone a bit poo.

I've bought a replacement Intel ax210 card, just contemplating the drama of stripping the PC to do it. Not my favourite way of wasting time :(
