I recently bought a ASUS ROG Strix Flare II Animate keyboard. To be honest, It isn't the best and I'm slightly annoyed by it, especially with this recent development.
My setup is as follows:
I have my Logitech gaming mouse, this keyboard and webcam plugged into a USB switch box. This is so I can press a button on it and it will all be useable on my work laptop, been working perfectly for years now.
Soon as I got this new keyboard, when I try to use the webcam and only the webcam, it just doesn't work. Refuses to connect. If I unplug the keyboard from the switch box, the problem goes and the camera works.
I've reduced the polling rate on the keyboard to its lowest amount, which is 1000 (it goes up to 8000), thinking this was the problem but no.
More annoying, if I plug the webcam directly into the back of my PC, it still doesn't work with the keyboard plugged in. Even more odd is if I connect it to the front IO USB on my case, the camera works!
So yes, I have a solution, but I don't want it taking a USB slot on the front of the PC. I guess I'm just annoyed and curious on what is going on here.
Specs:
Intel Core i9 9900KF @ 3.60GHz
32.0GB Dual-Channel @ 1800MHz (18-19-19-39)
Motherboard - Z390 AORUS MASTER
3071MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
I'm baffled. Its too late to return this keyboard now, but I am tempted to sell it on eBay, I just don't like it lol and this problem has just annoyed me.
