I'm about to build myself a 3700x rig and I'm choosing between the Asus x570-f and the Aorus Elite.
I've tried to find some real comparisons, but I've found nothing which is probably due to them being different tiers.
Well, due some campaigns I can actually get the x570-f for slightly less than the Elite so I just want to get some well-thought-out comparison and not just trust the "higher price = better"

Unless Aorus Elite is a better choice, which I doubt, I will of course go for Asus. I would still like some insightful details.

What are your thoughts?

I think performance wise they should be about the same. Consider which I/O you like more and which specific manufacturer feature that you prefer. If you have a side window which one would you prefer to stare at? :p

No window. I'm looking for a detailed functionality comparison. Visuals are irrelevant and I won't go for any RGB stuff. I just want the better of the two functionality wise, VRM, memory handling etc.

The Elite for £189 is a good deal...the Pro even better...I was going to get the Asus Gaming E....but it’s the same VRM that’s in the Tuf gaming...

in the end after ditching my X570 pro Carbon I got the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro.

I live in Sweden so I won't find the same deals as you. At the moment Aorus Elite is around 217 GBP and the X570-F is 234 GBP, but with the cashback deal Asus is having atm I get 40 GBP back so I chose X570-F and saved over 20 quid compared to Aorus Elite. Hell even Buildzoid recommended me to so I can't be that crappy ;)

He has actually already done a full PCB breakdown of the Asus X570-F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtvAd7y9B9o

I actually went ahead and asked him directly and managed to get a quick reply. His take was that at normal price go for Aorus Elite, but at the same price (as I'm getting with Asus actually being cheaper) go for X570-F. So I've already ordered the parts and hopefully I'll get a good rig going :)

I went for:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700XT 8GB OC
ASUS ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING
G.Skill 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL16 Trident Z Neo C (The hynix ones, but I know of a few builders who have gotten them to 3733-3800 with decent timings so I can get pointers from them)
Corsair Force MP510
Corsair RM750X V2 750W
be quiet! Dark Rock 4 Pro
Be quiet! Pure Wings 2 (x3)
Fractal Design Define R6 / USB-C
AOC 32" CQ32G1 Curved (1800R) WQHD 144Hz

Its not crappy at all..But the same money here is UK the gigabyte would be the better choice at that price point....This does not mean te gaming F is a bad mobo..Far from it. :)

Yeah, I figured what the hell and I was quite surprised. Gave me good answers on both MoBo and memory. Short replies that took a while, but with thousands of followers it's surprising he found time to answer at all :)

Thanks! I'm damn excited..it's been years since I built a completely new computer :)

Yeah, I figured, but quite a few have spewed some crap. I figured they were quite similar and since I could get it even cheaper than Aorus I figured it would be a better choice :)

seen that, I wonder if I can bodge a water block on the chipset
I went for the Asus, I don’t know why both my boards p67 and z77 have been Asus and they both fail to boot first time when it feels like playing up. Swapped psu, ram, cpu and board. Funny as the p67 is now a htpc running openelec and boots first time
