Asus Rog Swift PG278Q visual problem

My Rog has suddenly started flickering when at 144hz, lost its visual quality, where writing is somewhat blurred and hard to look at, almost like the screen has dropped resolution dramaticly, even though its apparently running at 1440p, no matter what refresh rate it is.

When changing my refresh rate now, it takes longer than what it did previously.

I have not installed/uninstalled anything that could have caused this.

I have turned off/on G-sync, checked for latest updates/drivers with no positive results, and re-plugged the wires connected to the monitor.

Since this happened, I've restarted the pc, reinstalled using clean installation of my display drivers.

I have experienced an issue similar to this in the past, where the screen would go extremely pixelated, but at the time a simple restart of the pc fixed it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

My first one did it almost dead on the dot of 1 year from purchase - not holding my breath on how long the replacement lasts.

Asus (well their 3rd party repair company) should send a courier to pickup the old panel and replace it on the doorstep though it took em quite awhile to get around to it for me.

Wow, thats good service if they do that, looks like its RMA time, thanks

It would be if it was prompt - it took 3 weeks from them confirming the RMA to someone actually turning up to switch it out at the door for me though some have had it quicker and some people have had ropey refurbs (looks like I got a new replacement myself).

Has there been a definitive word on if this is fixed by changing the PSU, or is it definitely a screen issue? Mine is still sat behind me, haven't gotten around to RMAing it since I got my X34. If a new PSU will sort it, I'd rather buy one of those that return it. I'm planning on playing more CS, and I'd rather not wait. :)

Can't fix the issues with fuzzy text, etc. by changing PSU once it starts happening - a few people have wondered if it could be prevented from happening by not using the stock PSU due to measuring poor regulation (including myself) but not seen anyone conclusively prove it.

Got the same problem here also. Currently trying to get an RMA going but each time so far they rejected my S/N even though I sent them pictures as proof to their email address that they provided in the response and I don't seem to be getting any reply from that address(on week 3 for waiting at the moment).
They seem quite fond and happy to reject my RMA request via the form on the repair site within 24 hours but apparently contacting them any other way is a no go.

Quite disappointed really and will certainly be the last ASUS product I buy.
