Asus Rog swift PG27AQ 4k 60hz IPS

Die 60hz.

Everyone is busy aspiring to DSR 3840x2160p @ 120hz or 5120x2880p @ 144hz at the minute. We just need more people like Asus to bring it in IPS or Acer will corner the meerkat. ;)

It looks really nice indeed. Shame ASUS still do not have a UK support centre. That said they are still my mobo manufacturer of choice. Been using them for a over a decade and only had one malfunction on me in all that time :D

I would take 4K before 120hz. Unless you love competitive fps, I think 4k will give you more.

I dont game competitively, but having had 4k and 1440/144hz side by side, 144hz wins

the improvement in resolution is actually pretty minor once you get over the initial wow, but the motion clarity of the rog swift is something else, there is no way i could go back to 60hz now

Edit; yes, each to their own, your mileage may vary

It does look really nice, and good spec, but price could be high. How about a 32" version - that would really be something.

Each to their own I suppose :)

I honestly don't know how people can live with 60Hz any more (but horses for courses and all that) even in Windows 120Hz is smoother and more responsive and even in games like eve online that aren't that fast paced mousing around the UI feels nicer.

My 4K panel is the only one left at 60Hz now and I hate it, even the panel I use for image editing does 75Hz stable which is an improvement.

The other thing I don't like about 60hz monitors is after spending around £800+ on a nice highend GPU setup to then see every single game get locked to only 60fps ...:(

I was actually going to buy myself a 4k monitor for second screen when i get back in a few weeks, might wait for this. Will fit next to proper swift much better.
That a very good point, now you got me interested in one these....;)

Unless that new Acer XB270HU G-Sync 144hz IPS/VA monitor that coming out is really good..
