So looking for new monitor and looking at this as it seems to be the best but the thread on it seems nothing but problems

Most seem to have dead pixels or problems and so many RMAs on this seems not worth the trouble

The rma rate on the rog is not particularly high, obviously when people have problems they are far more likely to post on forums than when everything is fine and great, you would actually have to be very unlucky to get a "bad" one, and ocuk's returns policy on these is excellent

Mine great ....;)

G-sync / 144hz / 1440p / 1ms / ULMB / 27" / Low input Lag ....Nothing beats this monitor for gaming on...:)

The only down side for me with this monitor is that I wish the up/down viewing angle was a little better
(But I guess that is from me being used to owning & using IPS monitors for many years)

But every single monitor is going have one or more down sides...;)
A perfect monitor for all uses just don't exist..

Only had mine for about 4 weeks but have had absolutely no issues and would recommend that you go for it.

Games can really be jaw droppingly good.

I took the plunge after reading the forum thinking that I could always send it back, warranty is three years but fingers crossed, touch wood, etc etc it won't come to that.

Seems to be different problems but I am tempted

It isnt 2000 negative posts, overall there are plenty of positive posts and people discussing how to get the most out of it

Gibbo even posted to say that of the 1000+ sold they'd had tens of complaints and certainly less than 100, that is over 90% satisfaction rate, so to be one of the less than 1 in 10 that have problems would be very unlucky

That and the fact people seem to be more fussy with things in general.
The failure rate seems to be inline with other monitors/electronics. Nothing to put anyone off.

I have been looking at these too, and like yourself have read through the thread, and i'll be honest a lot of the posts with problems seem to be with the early ones,

I've a few pounds to save before i can have one of these because i need a new GPU too,

Or i would have had one by now.

i was to concerned before i bought mine but i just did it in the end. as andy said that thread isnt all bad posts there are quite a few positive ones. if you would like to know who has had what then do a poll

I ordered two of these from Overclockers during Black Friday, have only just got around to getting them setup as we've been getting the study fitted and decorated.

One seems to be spot on however the other seems to have a 2 inch by 6 inch rectangular area to the left of the screen where the LED's are not responding quick enough resulting in a trail flowing the mouse about when being moved around that side of the screen.

It's most noticeable on dark back grounds, it's also noticeable in Windows 8 when on the initial login screen with the clock and you click or swipe the page up to login, the clock had a trail following it up the screen.

Have emailed Overclockers and awaiting further response.

I have had mine for about a week and absolutely love it.

I was also a bit nervous before ordering it due to the problems people were reporting but i found that there were equally as many, if not more, problems being reported with the alternative panels i was considering.
