£200 on OCUK and you can get it at your local for £154....

any way to reduce the price ? as i would rather buy it from OCUK for better warranty ect.
it needs looking into cause if your local rag tag shop sells them for £154 then i wonder why ocuk sells for much more.

Why would you get the DSL version?

cause my live date is 14th October, with the dsl version i can use it and then when i go live it auto reconnects to the new vdsl mode.
otherwise i would be buying it and not be able to use it until 14th :D

Are you 100% sure it works like that? All the VDSL services I know of require the ISP's modem to be used, with your own router connected to that via ethernet. Neither version of this router even seems to have an ADSL/VDSL/2 port on it to act as a modem...

The DSL-AC68U has a built in VDSL modem.

However, there's other threads on here and it's not great news. You're probably best off getting the RT-AC68U and if you don't get a modem from Openreach (e.g. signing up with Sky or BT who provide an router with built in VDSL modem) then buy one off a certain auction site and use that and the RT-AC68U together.

TheDSL version can be used as an all in one modem/router or router alone with the Openreach modem.

I started off with it on it's own but like others have had disconnections although the router part works fine.

At the moment I have gone back to the 2 seperates but when suitable firmware hopefully corrects things I will ditch the modem.
