Hey guys

After reading many reviews I decided to purchase the RT-N66U to replace my superhub. I have put my superhub into modem mode and can gain access to the internet etc through the hub.

Upon connecting the Asus I cannot get my computer to communicate with it and it appears to be stuck in recovery mode (slow blinking light above standby image). Does anyone know a way to try and force it out? I have only just got home with it and I'm not happy.

I have gone through the easy setup method and tried the browser method without possitive results.

Ps: I have also tried holding down reset while going through a power cycle.

All help's appreciated

Have you installed the Asus software on your computer? Connect to it via an Ethernet cable, use the firmware restoration program to restore your firmware. That did the trick for me once.

Hold reset pin in for 30 seconds (whilst on), continue to hold reset pin in for a further 30 seconds with the power removed, continue to hold reset pin in for another 30 seconds with the power connected again and release/wait for reboot.

Thanks for getting back to me guys.

Quick update

After constantly trying to reboot it in many different ways I eventually connected to the router directly via a static ip and got a page where I could do a firmware update. Once the update was complete it all went exactly as it should.

I think I had been sold someone's router after they thought they had bricked it. It was the first time I had used this central Manchester retailer and I won't be using them again.

Thanks for the help guys and keep up be good work.
