ASUS RT-N66U vs N56U for Virgin (SuperHub)

Any ideas on what i should have the following settings on for 2.4GHZ for range/signal strength performance....

Wireless Mode: Auto, N only, Legacy.
Wireless Mode: 'b/g protection' should i have that ticked or unticked
Channel bandwidth: 20, 20/40, or 40mhz.
 
think im going to get this router, ive only had the superhub for a week and im sick of the crap wifi.

what pci wifi adapter should i pair with this to make use of my 100mb ?
