Hi guys,

So i've recently updated my bios to version 4701.
Since then i've had no sound.

Here's what i've tried :

-checked audio is enabled in BIOS - it is.
- Downloaded the latest drivers from the asus website with sound manager.
- uninstalled nvidia HDMI sound driver.
- I've checked in windows sound and ensured that "Realtek digiital output" and "speakers" are both enabled.
- tried switching between the two. Windows is detecting sound levels but getting no sound.
- ensured that my cable is connected to the green socket in the back of the computer - they are.

Tried both headset and speakers.

Have any of you had similar issues before?

Thanks in advance!

Here's what else i've tried.

the front sound ports, that's connected via the HD connector to motherboard.
When I plug in my headphones / mic the realtek software detects them and asks me what I connected.

I've also tried uninstalling / reinstalling the audio drivers and reverting back a few versions. No joy.
Lost here. :(

look for a yellow folder in realtek software or something saying disable front panel jack detection/ac97 sound and select those

you should get sound then

This is the only option I can see close to it, there's very limited options in the control panel.
