Asus Sabretooth Z77 - which memory?

Hi all - probably a very simple question for someone to answer...

I'm planning on purchasing the Sabretooth Z77. It's rated as:

4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz, Non-ECC, un-buffered Memory

So should I be looking at DDR3 dual channel memory,1866 Mhz such as this:

Or could I get a higher rated memory and look at overclocking options once I've completed my build - such as these:

In gaming there is very little difference in ram speed over performance.

I would definately go for low profile ram if you are air cooling as the taller ram heatsinks may interfear with the cpu cooler, as it often overhangs the dimm slots.

OK I'm thinking that 1866 is the way to go. Anything above that seems pretty overkill and not really getting you any performance boost for the money.

The following RAM is on the QVL for the MB:

Should work, most ram will but theres no garantee of compatabilty.

I use Samsung Green 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel but i got them when they were cheap.

I went with Samsung green as well but a word of warning is that it is extremely difficult to remove once placed into the slots due to being low profile.

Get the Trident X they clock very well and look great. They are very compatible with ASUS boards too.
