Asus Smart Doctor ??

Guys,

I have recently purchased from ocuk 2x HD4890 from Asus with the voltage tweak, now from what I have seen you just slide the buttons to the left to overclock, fine. But I have also noticed that when I reboot and the software loads up itself it resets to the default speeds ??

Has anyone else had this problem?

I am about to put them both on liquid cooling and wanted to at least get up to the 1000/4000 clock as i am sure these cards can achieve under liquid but have the following issues: -

1> Obviously ever time i reboot it defaults the speeds :(
2> Is there any software that I can flash the card to remain at the speed after testing it first with smart doctor
3> Would the overclock remain if I uninstalled the smart doctor?

As you can see I want to overclock the card but dont want to mess with software etc everytime I either reboot or re-install my OS

Thankyou in advance for reading and await your help :)

in your toolbar ther'l be the smart doctor icon .. right click, up up to settings (and on mine theres only 1 option) and click use clock settings after reboot...

- This is on a 4850 on vista

EDIT- if you cant find that when its open up, right click on the area around the clock settings, and then go into settings..

Hmmm.....

Ok I found it as you described, thanks.

However I have just noticed something that concerns me. I have ran GPUZ and basically just watched it for a few mins and the core clock goes 900mhz -- 240mhz -- 900mhz every other second?? is this normal behavour ?

And like I said in my previous posts and suggestions on how I can flash the cards so that they run the speeds I have tested using smart doctor so that I dont have to rely on software ?

erm im no expert but the gpuz reading could either be an error or some kind of pwer saving thingy

and flashing is out of my depth.. but frankly i find the software of more sue than nuisance..
