discuss :) the sheilding sounds like a good idea. I sometimes hear my cpu 'working' in my headphones, not sure if that sheilding would prevent that.

my wish list is that (if it's any good) + decent amp, speakers, headphones.

The company is deliberately not supporting any form of EAX, in preference for Dolby and DTS technologies. We're told that the reason behind this decision is because all of the next-gen consoles support Dolby and DTS instead of EAX.

But unless I'm missing something, Dolby Digital is just an output format  Surely if games add software Dolby Digital support the card is pretty much useless if they do the encoding in software instead of the hardware on the soundcard; the bonus with Dolby Digital Live is that everything is output in Dolby Digital and no extra support is required for it.

By the way, you'll notice the buzzing on onboard sound, but I can't say I've ever experienced it using any of the PCI cards I've used (Montego DDL/Audigy 2/X-Fi/SB Live! 5.1 etc)

That was announced months ago and still no sign of a release date. If its released soon at under £100 im buying one...but they better hurry the hell up
